Dallas Crawford Potentially Committing Friday

Submitted by Dr.Jay on

Is announcing this Friday on his18th Birthday that he shares with me!!! Only I'll be 30 :^( FML, looking good for us!!! He hasn't taken a visit since the Iowa game

TOMVH EDIT*** - Sorry to take over your thread, but to clarify this post, I spoke with Dallas' head coach and he said that there is a chance Dallas will announce as soon as Friday. Coach Redhead spoke with the Michigan coaches today, so everything is looking good for Michigan.

we'll see more commitments.  I'm sure The Roundtree Incident has had something to do with all of these sudden rumblings, and that's a good thing.

If we could beat the damn Buckeyes this year, the entire Internet may very well commit to Michigan.

...interesting stat:

DrSaturday Amazing but true: Ohio St's made it to 8-1 w/ 2 wins vs. >.500 teams, none vs. top 25. Strength of sked identical to Nevada's, per Sagarin.

Any given Saturday and all that.

Edit: Wait, wait says DocSat:

DrSaturday Correction: OSU has three wins vs. winning teams. Gotta credit Ohio U.

But Ohio U. got the mascot play of the season in that day. So maybe that's half a win?

At least, here's to hoping that we go from being "dreadful" to "dreaded," in both senses of the term. That said, if it does turn out that his B-Day is also his "Blue-Day," then this is absolutely a top tier talent that we're picking up, even apart from the possibility that this may help bring Sammy Watkins into the fold, as well. Giddyup, I say, giddyup!

"Crawford is simply one of the more instinctive defensive backs we have seen around the football in this class. A great overall athlete with excellent footwork and ball skills. Is well-built with just adequate height but plays taller. Finds the ball very naturally in coverage."

I think I'm in love.

Looking at ESPN's recruiting class rankings, Clemson already has 2 WR commits (Charone Peake and Martavis Bryant) who are ranked higher than Sammy Watkins.  Pending a Dallas Crawford commitment how is UM not in the lead for Watkins as well?  From a pure PT standpoint, doesn't Watkins have a much better chance at being an every down receiver, being the highest ranked receiver on UM, rather than being the 3rd best at Clemson?
