Bowl practice question
Now that they have an additional 15 days (I believe) practice for the bowl game, do they have the option of reducing those practices to count towards the NCAA penalties? Considering they will (hopefully) have a lame duck defensive coaching staff and that it will be a 2nd tier bowl game, it seems like the practice time would be more valuable next year than this December.

I think winning the bowl would be big for momentum going into next season, so I'd rather they don't half ass it.

This fifteen practices are huge. The reduction in practice time will be spread out by reduction in the length of practices, and will not elimiate an important block of practice altogether.
This team needs those 15 practices and will take them.

But momentum of bowl wins is overrated, and I am just questioning if additional time under a lame duck defensive staff is more productive than that time under the new defensive regime.

Hey, we only got 3 losses champ...there is a lot of potential still out there. Ease up on the predictions.
We, um, won earlier.

Can we have a higher point threshold after wins also?

Thanks for reminding me why I stopped reading this board.

Because of posts from tbliggins?

I have no idea why, but that made me laugh so hard. I think it may be because T. Bliggins sounds like a Hobbit... no offense.

It is pretty meta to post a weird (but with some merit) question, then complain shortly thereafter about why you keep reading said question. I feel like there is a rip in the time-space continuum.

Just don't make it 500. How about,... let's say, 450ish give or take 2 or 3?

Have some foresight, you'll be ther ein no time.

Can't you post point suggestions somewhere else? These "raise the points" posts are annoying in the posts in question.
Don't gang up on the dude. These 15 practices are great. I for one would not be upset if Rod chose to reduce practice time by < 10-15 minutes for these 15 practices. I trust him to make that decision. I think the poster was just wondering if it is possible. He is not trying to eliminate all the practices.
I imagine Rod would wait until next year so he and the coaches could work with the freshmen defense some more, but leave the poster alone unless you have something more useful to contribute.

for posting where its at. I promise not to post anything dumb.
Practice as much as you can before the bowl!!!!!!!!!! A bowl win is really nice momentum for the next year.

I mean, it's a legit question. That's fifteen more practices to spread out the time they need to sacrifice. They can practice more in each practice now assuming they spread it out evenly.

I am just happy that we get to practice for a bowl. It seems like such a long time ago that they carried Lloyd off the field.
