Time for Michigan to beat good teams?

Submitted by caup on

The best team Michigan has beaten under RR is Wisconsin back in 2008. That team wound up with a 7-6 record.

Last year none of our 5 victims had a winning record.

This year, none of our first 5 victims will probably end up with a winning record.

Rich, now is the time.

Let's do this!

Our last win was against Indiana.

Our 1st loss was vs Michigan State.

Our second loss was against Iowa.

We have now lost 3 straight to MSU.

If we lose to Penn State Saturday night, it will be our first loss at night this season.

Rodriguez starts with the letter R but ends with the letter Z.

The time is now, Rich.

I thought they were 7-6, but I get the point.  No turnovers + keeping things equal in the kicking game should give us at least three more wins, including this weekend.

This year's "assignment" is to improve enough to beat Purdue, Illinois, and now PSU.  I originally included little brother in there, but so far it has been "two-thirds of a season of destiny" in EL.  Next year, with a few RR seniors, they can think about getting back into the upper echelon of the Big Ten.

That being said, I would love to see Wiscy, OSU, or both go down to Michigan.  If all of the underclassmen on defense improve as the season moves along, and Denard improves to a point where he can duplicate his early performances against the meat of the Big Ten, anything can happen with this team.

I would be willing to bet that there isn't anyone in that locker room right now who doesn't think they can run the table the rest of the year.  This team goes in to every game looking to win, so who am I to say they can't?
