Am I the only one that read this topic title to be introducing some strange OT about an Arkansas DOT executive getting caught with his sister in a compromising situation?

I'd much rather see the Hokies than the Indians (I mean Red Wolves), but this is what the committee has encouraged. You can't play two good P5 games and expect anything more than an added risk of a loss and no shot at the title.
It's a bad compromise playoff system and there's really no way for the committee to get it right, so they take the safest approach and count all losses as pretty much equal.
Hopefully, the FBS will scrap the bowl system someday, put in a real playoff (like every other college sport) and we can schedule multiple exciting non-conference games with confidence.
