Proud of our boys

I am proud of our boys in the maize and blue. Yeah, they got outplayed yesterday. But they didn't quit, and they played their hearts out and hung with the #2 team in the nation and the Heisman frontrunner for a good portion of the game.

The D got shocked with 14 in the opening minutes, but buckled down and made it a game for the better part of 3 quarters. The offense was not good, but we knew that already. JOK was largely serviceable and made some good plays. Receivers need a lot of work. PP and run blocking needs tons.

But I think this will be a game to build on going forward, actually. Watch for that score to flip again next year.

College Football is big business and only stats that matter wins/losses. Proud of them for losing is like giving each child a participation ribbon - cmon

I never said I was proud of them for losing. I'm proud of them in spite of losing because of their never quit attitude--particularly JOK. And that's something that's be seen as a good thing long before stupid participation trophies were even a thing.

I'll always be a diehard Michigan guy and will support the team no matter what happens. I'm one of the few members of my family that have moved away from Michigan, and grew up with the Saints as my NFL team, so I know what it's really like to feel pain over the years with mediocre play. If 9-3 or 8-4 is considered our floor as a ball team, I love where the UM program is heading and can tell that we will be perennial contenders in no time. Can't wait to get up there Nov 4th and watch my boys kick the hell out of the Gophers! GO BLUE!!!
