OT: How is "The Six" on ESPN an actual tv show?

Submitted by wolverine1987 on

It's an old story now how everything not College Football on ESPN is bad (which as a guy that once really liked SportsCenter and other programs, makes me sad) but watching Jemele Hill and Michael Smith impersonate talented TV people is excruciating. In what world did an ESPN exec say "hey, let's appeal to the kids, get me Jemele Hill and Michael Smith!" ???

had a show on the Howard Stern channels called "The Shit Show".

Once The Six started showing on ESPN, he immediately stopped making the show. He knew ESPN would sue him for copyright infringement.

is unwatchable. Jemele Hill isn't qualified to do a sports report on a TV station in East Lansing. Michael Smith had a future before he accepted this assignment.

Michael Smith is actually one of my favorite anchors, so I hope he gets released from this before it ruins his career. that said, hill and Sarah Spain are the absolute worst. I cannot stand either.

Talented sports journalists cost money; money that ESPN no longer has to give out, so they settle for crappy programming while broadcasting sporting events. Naturally, this makes programming on during the daytime pretty much unwatchable.
