Lol, you think the board cares about seeing our players in game action? They have already decided Teske and Davis were misses and Simpson isn't very good after their freshman year. Just like 2 years ago Beilein couldn't recruit big men (before Wagner and Wilson broke out) and we have only had one productive recruiting class since he's been here. We don't have patience at all so why would we wait to see how Ibi plays? He is a sophomore and if he isn't amazing now, he is probably a miss too.
Most players who are going to be good show more than Watson and Teske did in their first year on the court. That's just a fact.
DJ Wilson is a very recent exception
His leaping ability was never in question. Hope the rest of his game catches up to his absurd jumping ability.
Not that I can remember...not when it mattered.
Gettin' up!
GO BLUE!!
Jo-El. He had hops. I'm sure it was before they measured this stuff, but I bet his vertical was close to Ibi's.
Since we are all bragging here, when I was on the Michigan men's soccer team, I was 5'10.5, 175, and could nearly grab the rim.
Now, I'm 36, have had 5 arthroscopic surgeies on my right knee, weigh 190 and Im still only a few inches from the rim.

Otherwise I don't see him playing much.
