Ambry Thomas to wear #1
Early enrollee freshman numbers are starting to trickle out.
According to a video tweeted out by the official U-M recruiting account, Ambry Thomas will wear #1.
Kekoa Crawford also wears #1.
It's not final until the first game because players compete for jersey numbers in Fall camp, but we will get to see #1 on a defensive player in the spring game.

Not sure if freshman are "demanding" numbers. I think the whole episode with Braylon and weirdness with handing out numbers should be left in the past. Assign numbers like normal to freshman, maybe as an incentive or something to live up to and be done with it. In other scenarios, numbers weren't handed out, or they were changed once or more later in players' careers and the whole thing became odd.
