I wish our mid-week guys could make me feel safe with a 10 run top of the first inning lead. 16-11 now.
Hopefully Wood can nail down the lead.
Oh, and out to left pretty well, slightly across the field. Home to center faces southeast. Winds WSW at 15-20.
Gotta throw strikes, or UM's gonna dig their own grave.
Now that Wood had to be called in for this game, I think we might need a complete game out of Oaks. After Katzman and Oaks, I'm trying to figure out who we've got left. We could throw a couple of these guys again today, but that's definitely not ideal given their current control issues.
Got out of a jam there. 1st and 3rd, no outs, get 2 K's and it looks like the Bisons ran a leave early steal. Pitcher to 2nd, I'm guessing on a step off, 2nd to catcher for out number three at home.
We used to always bitch about having to run that defensive play at least 20 times every practice in high school. It's just that important.
Sounds like a Thursday afternoon game at Coors
Lulz, Kolby Wood just had an RBI single. He's a reliever/closer/potential starter. That will probably leave his Michigan career batting average at 1.000 forever.
This should be an easy game to blame goats. Pitching staff outside of Wood and third base in the lineup. 0/6 combined for Lorenz and Krantz. Lorenz with the hat trick.
Woo win game 1! Hopefully we can keep focus. Hopefully Oaks throws a no-hitter, although a complete game would be just as welcome with how we've used the pen today. I think the only ones left are Katzman and DeCarlo, neither of which I really trust just yet.
Not Oaks, but Bobby Brosnahan with the start against Coastal, according to GameTracker.
