Houston Cougars Schedule
Some polls have Houston ranked above Michigan. How are suppose to pass them with this pathetic schedule?
9/10 Lamar
9/15 @ Cinci
9/24 TX St.
9/29 UConn
10/8 @ Navy
10/15 Tulsa
10/22 @SMU
10/29 UCF
11/12 Tulane
11/17 Lvlle
11/25 @Memphis
I'd feel a lot better if they added Cass Tech.

Don't spend more than a second worrying about the rankings after one game.
First, they're based off one game. A lot of voters think beating the (former) #3 team in the country is more impressive than destroying the #110 team in the country, and that's fair.
Second, Houston's schedule doesn't give it many more opportunities to impress voters. If we beat teams like Wisconsin, MSU, PSU, and OSU, a lot of voters will see fit to jump us above Houston.
Third, the polls literally don't matter any more. This isn't the BCS days. The CFP committee will determine who gets in the playoff, and they consider each team's body of work, with a general emphasis on more recent games. So it doesn't matter if we have an opportunity to "jump" Houston in the polls or not.

@ Navy, @ SMU and Louisville will be challenging games for them. I foresee at least one slip-up amongst those three. And regarding the playoff, even if Houston goes undefeated I think the committee would take a 1-loss P5 team that is also a conference champ (such as Michigan) over an undefeated Houston team.
Not worried at all. If we take care of our business and end up B1G champs we'll be in the top 4.

they deserve some credit for knocking off Oklahoma already and if they beat Louisville and go undefeated they deserve one of the 4 spots in the playoff. Look we just need to keep winning and win the B1G and it will take care of itself and not worry about other teams.
