But he played in Boston.

There was no question Eichel was going to win.

There was no question that Johnny Gaudreau was going to win the year before.

Despite Kyle Connor have the same number of points as Eichel and 2 less goals than Gaudreau he didn't win.

They just couldn't pass up the chance to give it to a good 'ole boy.

Granted, I haven't seen this Vesey guy play, but Connor is one of the best I've ever seen play college hockey.  I find it hard to believe Vesey or anyone else is better.

Some are trying to say that it was SOS.

Michigan was 18th in strength of schedule, not in the 40's or 50's.

East coast blower John Buccigross says it's because of what Vesey did off the ice (which is what?) and because he's a senior.

About the decision, but then I saw in the Hobey profile that Veysey speaks fluent Mandarin.  That should more than make up for the 25 less points that he accumulated this year.

Except there's more bullshit than usual because Harvard lost in the first round and Vesey didn't have a point.

There's no reason anyone can give to justify giving it to Vesey over Connor besides some vauge character argument because of the stuff he did off the ice that no one knows about.

"Bonus points because he's a senior" says Buccigross.

Not really surprised. Things just haven't been going Michigan's way lately. Hopefully starting this fall Harbaugh will exorcise some demons.

Meh.  Let the Harvard kid have it; those guys need a break every once and a while.

That said, it sucks that Connor didn't win, but he still had an amazing season.

he could actually play here for three more years like Morrison did, who was a finalist during his sophomore and junior seasons before winning as a senior.

I know this is a radical suggestion around these parts.
