That was about as ugly a shootout as you will ever see.

I was amazed how many Michigan skaters didn't even try to get some speed when approaching the goal.

Why do I even become emotionally invested in this team when I know they are inevitably going to shit the bed?  I guess I hope that they prove me wrong but my god it's year after year now.

The officiating in this conference is a fucking joke, and it's not one I find funny anymore. How did the Big Ten get all of the useless refs and linesmen from the CCHA split?

 

How does a man 2 feet from the play botch an icing wave-off like that? Just sad. The state of officiating in the Big Ten is sad.

I love how confused everyone is with shootouts. It's a tie. There is no NCAA uniform regulation in regards to shootouts. It's a conference issue. Many of them don't even have shootouts. Old WCHA fans used to laugh at the CCHA for having them decide conference titles, potentially. That said, WTF guys. I don't even care about the blown lead late. The first 30 minutes were as bad as I've seen us play since RMU Saturday game. Very fortunate to escape with a tie.
