So then what does the shootout decide? Is it a tiebreaker if two teams have the same number of points or something?

The Big 10+x gives a point for a shootout win. So OSU got 2, we got 1.

It's a tie for NCAA purposes, since they don't recognize shootouts.

They've shown glimpses of improving defensively at times but then you get another 5-5 crapper. Score a bazillion goals, let in a bazillion goals. I'm afriad we'll be on the wrong side of the bubble once again
