Defense is ahead of offense to this point in the spring. I believe that has been said even by coaches. So who has the better D?
Maize! Seems like more depth at DL and Peppers is on this team. Stribs will do a nice job at one corner and Pep will help the other side from Safety. LB is a wash so I think Maize has the better overall D.
Both offenses seem pretty balanced comparatively so I think D will be the difference.
It's good that Malzone is basically the only scholarship QB of that team so he gets the most game-like reps most likely. Being a true frosh who could see the field in the fall, this is a good thing.
I think Ruddock lessens the chances that Malzone is needed however, also a good thing.
