MGoBlog Shoutout on Dallas Radio

Submitted by ML88 on

I live in Dallas and was driving to work this morning listening to sports radio. There was a short segment that focused on college athletics and how there has been a visible shift from fans wanting to get their information from traditional media outlets towards blogs and websites that are dedicated only to their school.

They then speficically mentioned MGoBlog, saying this was a great example of a specialized website that focuses on Michigan athletics, and generates about 8 million (!) pageviews per month. They also said that the website is good about holding people accountable and not just giving fans exactly what they want to hear. I thought it was great to get a Michigan shoutout all the way down in Texas.

Go Blue!

p.s. - first time starting a new thread. I have no idea about formatting or any of that business that seems to trip people up when they write posts. Apologies in advance if there is an issue, or if this has already been covered and i missed it.

Between the modding and everything else, I think my wife wonders about this site sometimes. Actually, I know she does - the great thing now is that I can go home later and say that I am but a small piece of a much larger movement, a statement which I can get behind but one that might make her roll her eyes and walk away.

Proud to say my dad (WolverineHistorian Sr.) is now a regular addition to the 8 million views a month. I got him addicted during 'Its Happening,' month. Now he's checking MGoBlog on his phone several times a day and accepts Brian as his leader. He was practically star struck when I told him I've exchanged emails with our leader.

Excellent, another convert!  Good thing you didn't tell him about the monthly ritualistic orgy / animal sacrifice get togethers we have yet.  People seem to get so freaked out and turned off by the blog once they find out.  It's better to slow ease them into the blog first beforehand.

I live in Argyle Tx (North Ft Worth) commute Hwy 114 into Dallas everyday. I see a couple GO BLUE license plates. I have also been a season tic holder for 6 years. I listen to WTKA via I heart radio on my morning commute. GO BLUE!!
