OT: Citrus Bowl name returns
Just noticed this the other day.
Nice to see the Citrus Bowl name is back. Sure, it seems silly with the sponsor but I'm glad the corporations have allowed the traditional bowl names back.
It appears Capital One is now the sponsor of the Orange Bowl.
Introducing the Buffalo Wild Wings Citrus Bowl
Maybe we can play in this bowl again some day.
Here's the new Orange Bowl logo.
And the Fiesta
Boo to those. I grew up with the FedEx, Nokia and Tostitos logos for the Orange, Sugar and Fiesta Bowl respectively.

When Spurrier said that, it was the ultimate insult for UT. Now, they would be happy to be in that situation.

That went something like, "I know why he came back for his senior year - to be the Citrus Bowl MVP!"

The mention of the Bluebonnet Bowl made me take a Youtube trip down memory lane to the 33-14 win over UCLA in 1981. Butch Wolfolk was the MVP, the defense was dominating, and Steve Smith hit Anthony Carter with a 50-yard TD strike (and why anybody EVER tried single-coverage on AC is mind-boggling.) My favorite part was LB Paul Girgash (great name, BTW) picking off a tipped pass.
Announcers for the game were Ray Scott and Lee Corso, on the Mizlou TV Network. And over the final shot of Bo trotting off the field, they played "Boogie Wonderland" by Earth, Wind & Fire - because nothing says "smashmouth college football" like disco.
