Okay, THIS would work like hell for Michigan. The helmets pretty much look like this already.

Texas Agricultural & Mechanical University.
"Texas A&M Aggies" is redundant.
Like "Los Angeles Angels" or "Ferrari LaFerrari".

You could say that about any A&M school...that doesn't make it correct.
University of Texas is Texas Longhorns and Texas A&M University is Texas A&M Aggies for a reason.

I live in Aggie country and I have never once heard them refer to themselves as the "Texas Aggies."

It's a legitimate term, otherwise Mx wouldn't have asked about it. It's on Officially Licensed merch and everything.

I will go on record and say I like the helmets. It could look pretty badass in maize and blue.

This is one of the few alternates I would have been ok with at UM, since the yellow was originally leather and the correlation to the history at UM. With that said, I'm not a fan of us doing it anymore, as I still think we need to be leaders, not followers.
