We're having hot italian sausage sandwiches and Jalepeno Brats for the game saturday. Along with chips and dips; and of course, Beer, lots and lots of Beer! We plan on being at AAGO when they open. Cant wait! I love tailgating almost as much as the game itself.

When exactly do the Golf Course gates open?
Any input from anyone on where they think is the best spot is on the golf course?? I usually enter the gate that is straight across from Crisler.

I cannot WAIT for Saturday...it's going to be an ungodly amount of football consumed.
I'm going to sit and watch 65" of beauty from the UCF/PSU game at 8:30am until whatever team out west is playing til almost midnight.
It's going to be gross. It's going to be beautiful.
I was telling someone the other day...I haven't been this excited for a football season in a loooooooooong time. We all want our team to go undefeated and we have hope for a conference championship, we're fans, we're delusional. But if you can get just 1% of factual justification as to why your fantasy world can be reality...well, the excitement meter goes to an entirely different level.
In the 90's, just knowing we were Michigan was enough to have that hope. That got taken away from us in 2008. I honestly feel it starting to come back. That feeling of knowing "okay, we're going to be good, hell, we're probably going to be great...but can't we be ELITE!?"
I miss that dearly...I miss caring about who was in the top 25 and who I needed to lose so Michigan could move up.
We're not all the way back, hell no, but we're at .5% of factual justification and that is enough for this year. It's certainly better than blind fandom. Northwestern and Indiana can keep that shit...that was awful. Give me a glimmer of REAL hope that my team can "go all the way."
It's here MGoBloggers, it's here. We're going to have to wait until next year to get our full 1% (or more)...but with suspensions and injuries to key opponents and Greg Mattison gushing over our defense. We've got a shot.
Here's to a championship football season!

fun to say, more fun to eat. Probably my second favorite thing from Canada after Nik.
French fries, beef gravy and cheese curd. Don't knock it till you try it

A mainstay for gameday are ABTs - Slice a jalapeno in half. Fill each half with a mixture of cream cheese fortified with cayenne pepper, garlic powder and maybe some shredded cheddar cheese. Wrap each half with half a slice of bacon and either bake at 350, smoke or grill till the jalapeno is softened, cheese is melted and bacon is crispy.
I'll be at home for this game, so also considering smoking some hot italian sausages before gametime.

My in-laws are doing the first tailgate this year, so I'm sure it will be "fancy." Typically though, we have hot dogs and brats, chips & salsa, veggie tray, pasta salad, brownies, peanut M&Ms, licorice, beer, wine, and soda. Sometimes we'll have spinach dip and when it gets cold someone usually brings chili.
We are doing the main entree for the Penn State game. I'll probably grill chicken kebobs and hot dogs.
I'll keep looking on this thread for good ideas! I am always jealous of the brunch tailgates I see before noon kick offs. Our group never does that.
