Penn State lands Sterling Jenkins & Brandon WImbush

This solidifies my theory that people love weird. I don't know what it is but people really like weird. James Franklin is weird. People like James Franklin. People like weird.

Both prospects were UM targets:

Nice little Tuesday for James Franklin, two top-150 prospects commit, probably get some ice cream after dinner, who knows.

ESPN 300 OL Sterling Jenkins has committed to Penn State. First time PSU has landed No. 1 Pa. prospect since at least 2006.

I'm way way way more concerned with losing to Penn State on the field last year than of losing a couple East Coast recruits to them.

We all know recruiting does matter, but to many on this board it seems they think recruiting is as big as the games we play in the fall.  I'll take the 50th ranked class every year if it means we get to beat Ohio and State.  What the heck have these highly rated classes gotten us anyway?  We're mired in the middle of the worst 6 year stretch in forever with the one good season being the exception and we're looking at a season most of the experts see for us as 8-4.  What the heck do recruiting battles matter when this is what is going on on the field?

Some people have it backwards, you play the games to win the games not to win recruits.
