U-M Hockey vs FYS - DitD Sat Open Thread
Well, to a fan, a 5-3 win over FYS is pretty satisfying, though it wasn't perfect. I think a team that loses the first night is going to bring better effort the next, and this season U-M hasn't been good at overcoming that to get the win. And getting a win is pretty important, given the 2nd place tie w/MN, being 2 pts ahead of ND, only 3 pts ahead of FYS, and 5 ahead of last place WI. Getting the highest seed possible for the BTT and winning it seems like the way to get to the NCAA.
So on to the Duel in the D in Pizza Pizza Arena.

Ohio State with the 3-0 lead over Wisconsin after 2. Michigan in a good position right now, but with a difficult schedule. Remaining games: 1 at Notre Dame, 2 at home against OSU, 2 at Wisconsin. With the conference tournament at home sites, a second place finish would be very nice.
