And HEY, here's an interesting trivia bit I learned when watching the new Netflix documentary series on Ted Bundy: when Ted escaped from prison (for the second time), and was on the lam, he found his way from Colorado to Ann Arbor where, on the afternoon of January 2, 1978, in a watering hole somewhere in AA (not mentioned exactly where), he watched his Washington Huskies in the Rose Bowl vs. Michigan, and apparently, got very drunk and nearly got himself beaten to a pulp. Which...well, it's too damn bad that this didn't transpire, because Ted then made a beeline to Florida, where he committed what were likely the most brutal murders of his life.
That Rose Bowl, by the way, featured Michigan as a 10-0 team and a 14 point favorite, while Washington was a 6-4 team. But under Warren Moon, they jumped out to a 24-0 lead and then hung on for dear life as Michigan tried to make a valiant comeback, which ultimately fell short. The final score was 27-20.

That’s a crazy story about Bundy. Like you said, too bad someone hadn't beaten him to a pulp and left him to be apprehended. Would have saved a lot of terror and innocent lives.
