Before people flip out about Michigan's offensive line, note, he doesn't work with football:
In his 15th season as a member of the strength and conditioning team, Cole coordinates the strength and conditioning effort for the men's soccer, baseball, and men's and women's tennis programs at Michigan. In addition to his currently assigned sports, Cole also has worked with volleyball, softball, field hockey, women's soccer, men's swimming and diving, ice hockey, men's basketball, wrestling, and men's and women's track and field. In May 2012, Cole was named a Master Strength and Conditioning Coach by the College Strength and Conditioning Coaches association (CSCCa).

Even if he did work with football, it would hardly mean that he had anything to do with the OL's performance.. I'm sure if you look at the bench/squat/power lift numbers for our O-linemen, they're normal. There's a lot more to the position group than just pumping a lot of iron.

Maybe he should work with the football team.

A buddy of mine I went to grad school with worked with him and always said he's a good coach. He is also the keynote speaker at the annual coaches convention in January.

He must be a great coach if he's been effective meeting the needs of male and female athletes across so many different sports with such varied strength and conditioning needs. Glad he's nominated, hope he wins!
