Best Hotels To Stay At In Ann Arbor?

Submitted by brewandbluesaturdays on
Hey board, needed a hand. My brother and I recently got our 2 game package and we received the ND, UTL package. Now, I've been to countless games and never stayed in Ann Arbor over night after a game. However with a night game and all the time to tailgate, there's no knowing how much alcohol could alter our ability to drive home so we have decided to be safe and reserve a hotel room. What recommendations are there. My brother is an alumni but left me the task of reserving the room and I wanted to do right by him with a good fun Meeeechigan crowd hotel. Thanks appreciate it.

There are two new hotels that have just opened near Briarwood:  Hilton Garden Inn and Townplace Suites.  I stayed in both for one night as part of a promotion.  They're both really nice, with great service and clean/modern accommodations.  I can't speak for price or availability but they're both great options.

I'm selling my hotel room at the holiday inn because the military won't give me leave for the dates of the UTL game. I pre purchased Thursday Friday and Saturday night because I was gonna do the stadium and crisler tour. I'm pretty upset about it. on top of not being able to go, the flight and hotel were both non refundable. :(

Since I am a new member and don't have 100 points yet to post my own thread, can anyone give me the up and up on games this year? My boyfriend is a hard core Michigan fan, I am indifferent with football, but a fan of another in basketball. (I have to stay incognito on here right now because he does read every now and then on here.) Anyway, I want to suprise him with a trip to The Big House since he hasn't been in a while and I think my love for it would grow too! So, what's your recommendations for games to choose from and places to stay this year? I am clueless with this conference and schedule.

Thank you thank you thank you for helping a girlfriend that's trying to be amazing to a fellow Michigan fan! :)

I can't really help you with places to stay, but I would say you should consider the Oct 11 Penn State game or the Nov. 1 Indiana game.  Penn State will be the only night game on the home schedule and should have a large and vocal crowd, looking for revenge after last year's overtime loss.  Indiana will be homecoming, and last year's game was a high scoring and exciting game as should this year's game.
