Tim Hardaway Jr. Impressing in Early Workouts

According to ESPN’s Chad Ford, Hardaway has been extremely impressive at pre-draft workouts, not only competing against fellow guard prospects such as Isaiah Canaan, but besting them. Ford called Hardaway “the best player on the floor for all two hours” of a workout that he watched on Tuesday.

Hardaway has all the physical tools to be a dominant NBA player.  Hopefully he can put it all together in the NBA.

You must just hate basketball in general then, because college basketball's product is so vastly inferior to the NBA it's cringe worthy. I love basketball. It's far and away my favorite sport, and sometimes I find it hard to get through watching a college game. If Michigan isn't involved, forget about it.  At times it feels like watching the WNBA but with better athletes.

That's definitely a valid criticism of the NBA.

The playoffs are when the season really begins for a lot of teams. At that point, everyone is going at full speed, but coming off of 3 games in 4 nights, or a back to back late in a cross country road trip, teams are going to take a game or two off. It's not really all of that different than baseball in that sense (which people rarely ever seem to take issue with).

They should probably shorten the season, cut down on the back to backs, and do something akin to Bill Simmons' "fun as hell tourrnament" to make things more exciting.

The NBA as currently constituted is the best at all of the major sports when it comes to actually determining who the best team was at the end of a season (long 82 game season, plus a grueling 7 game playoff system) which is something fans want to know, but don't necessarily want to watch.

I agree with your point that the playoffs are much more exciting than the regular season, and I agree with you that the NBA does the best job of crowning the true champion (7 game series in a sport less streaky than hockey).

However, that doesn't make it more exciting than college basketball.  Because the regular season in the NBA is so boring, many people don't jump into the playoffs because they weren't following it before then.  And the NBA playoffs still aren't anywhere near as exciting as March Madness, to compare apples to apples.

And having a super fair playoff system isn't going to entice me to watch the regular season any more.

Therein lies the catch-22.

College basketball has devised the single worst possible way of determining a champion in sports, but it is far and away the most exciting.

The NBA has devised the single best way of determining a champion in sports, but people find it generally to be the most boring.

Fans want to have their cake and eat it too in that regard.

But "dominant" is a strong adjective. He will not be a dominant nba player. If he made an all star team I would be jacked but extremely surprised.

THJ was a borderline first round pick.  Hopefully, this performance is turning him into a certain first round pick.  Guaranteed first round money for at least three years would definitly be a great way for THJ to start his post-Michigan career.

thj may never be lebron, durant , etc. but he can still be great.

he will not be physically dominant but can develop into the next tier player which i guess means "dominant" .

His potential and athleticism have never been in question. It's his consistency and mental game that have failed to match his talent level, and held him back from becoming a lottery pick.
