Michigan Basketball vs. MSU Open Thread
Has Gonzaga ever even made it past the sweet sixteen?
I am pretty sure they made it to the Elite Eight once in the late 1990s. I can't think of any other occasion offhand.
Is Bacari Alexander our big man coach?
needs to improve his FT shooting, to go along with his ability to take it to the rack
Kills me when we get no points off of opportunities like that.
Yeah they can actually sohot threes
Argh
Is 3 point defense random, or are we just really bad at it?
Find the shooters in transition.
And like magic we score off of the fastbreak!
This is the most physical I have seen Michigan play all year on D.
Yep. They need to continue with it for the next 29 minutes, too. Where it's been I'm not sure but when playing like this it makes them a different team (in a good way).
Guh. Really working ourselves out of having Mo.
What is Mitch doing??
Shut Payne down.
gotta grab the damn ball mcgary!!
Agreed, doesn't really generate turnovers for us and leads to an open 3 for the opponent most times.
They're not really trapping the ball screen. McGary did a good job once and they just switched. He was able to push the guard out deep enough that they easily switched back.
when we have 2 bigs in the game, I think we should start Mitch over Nik going forward.
bring nik off the bench for offense, he's just not doing much lately.
Ball keeps bouncing Sparty's way for easy buckets and Payne being a pain ain't helping.
50% free throw shooting not good enough for you!?
early surprising stat (that are also worrisome):
Losing Reb battle 5 - 11
but, c'mon, how about a little regression to the mean by our opponents on 3P FG%?
Together = 3 on 5 offense.
