New Rivals.com player info layout -- thoughts?
Not sure how long it's been active, but I just noticed the new Rivals.com player info layout. Any thoughts? Good, bad, who cares?
Personally, I like the look a lot. A little hard to find the info I am used to, but I'm guessing that will come in time. Looks a little more professional, though.
Example:

**mandatory potential double post caveat**
I searched the last couple days of board posts by title and also keyword searched the archives and I didn't see anything. Hopefully, not a double post -- fingers crossed.

This means: "I like it very much" for those of you who don't hablo the espanol.

I like it, like you said a little more professional (scout needs to step its game up). I like the little addition on the side that shows similar current recruits and a "player he reminds us of" kind of what Brian does.

... I was wondering how that info is generated. Is that algorithmic, and if so what are the inputs and how are they weighed? Some combination of star rating/position ranking and measurables like height, weight, 40 time, etc...
I can't imagine it's manual, or it could take forever to do considering the sheer number of 3 star recruits and better.

However they do it, it's not very accurate. I just went to Drew Dileo's page and I didn't see Wes Welker anywhere.

This is significantly better than the old layout that was aesthetically boring and difficult to navigate.

I laughed when I saw "Justin Turner" as the player that Cullen Christian reminds Rivals of.

I like it a lot better then the last one. Even though it was good, this one is just that much better

I came across it two days ago or so. I'm a fan. Definitely removes the clutter and puts it even further above Scout, which still looks like a toddler designed the site.

Cosign on the scout comment. They need to up their game now, this newer design is solid.

I dig. Took me a minute to figure out where everything is, but I like that I can click on the HS and see the other recruits from that high school, that's pretty easy and convenient. I like that I can see the kid's hometown on a map. Aesthetically pleasing as well. I give it 5 stars.

I particularly like the "Rate IT" option. What exactly are we rating here? The player? The rating? The website? The confusion?

I was looking at Vincent Smith and one of the similar players to him was a 6'1" RB that's 215 lbs

I like it alot, it's alot better than what they had before.

I like it a lot. It's much better than before, even though it was pretty good anyways.

Well, count me as guy #1 who does not like the layout. I find it cluttered and hard to read.

... I just buzzed you up one, because I didn't like that others dinged you for having a different opinion. I don't think that's proper usage of the point system, unless the opinion is just idiotic. Anyway...
