From the Scout main page, it looks like Thomas Gordon just got offered by us. There goes the theory that he'd pretty much commit the second he received an offer. I don't understand the world of recruiting, so I really doubt that RichRod and Co. would play politics with offers, but it is a little suspicous that he got the offer on the heels of this whole Will Campbell thing as he's his teammate. Though I guess it's worth noting that both sites were buzzing about his performance on Friday night.

We'll of course never know, and it's obviously understandable to suspect that this is a ploy to get Campbell back...but I don't think so. Gordon had said all along that Michigan wanted to see film of him in action in his senior year before they offered. Two games in, maybe they saw all they needed to see?

Josh Gordon was publicly begging for an offer, but it was being reported that Thomas Gordon would almost certainly commit the second he was offered because he's a local kid, his coach went to Michigan, and he'd have three teammates with him. I think Brian even mentioned this in his huge recruiting recap from last month.

More subtext:  2010 Technician Dior Mathis is rumored to be considering an early pledge to that Miami.

Gordon's summer camp nickname:  "Prison Abs".  Love that.
