Did Garnett say he was going to tell schools of his decision before the announcement? It is strange timing. It concerns me, but if we whiff on Garnett and Diamond and manage to land a 4* OL, I'm okay with it.

Not strange timing at all given Schiano departing and depending on whether we have offered this guy or just contacted him.

Then go take him if we don't get Garnett. There is no such thing as a surplus of 6'4" 300 lb lineman!

O/U on how many of their 4 stars Urban Sombrero tries to steal = 5

Considering they have at most 5 4 stars on any site, i'm going with under.

Makes complete sense in light of the Garnett announcement. Garnett probably told the coaches this morning, then the Schiano news came, then they probably started looking at Rutgers' commits for another O-lineman.

I just looked up Chris Muller on ESPN and his scouting report is Blake Bars'. That's weird. Should we take it as a positive indicator. Ok, I'll do that.

I'm sure the coaches were just playing the odds that Garnett wouldn't go blue and when Shciano took the Tampa job, they saw an opportunity to get a quality kid who's recruitment just got turned upside down. I hate to speak ill of the Hokester, but the kids at SDSU probably felt the same way last year. But Schiano standing potential recruits up and not even letting his assistants know where he was pretty shady.
