So we scored 2 fewer points on offence this year compared to last.
This regression is UNACCEPTABLE! Fire Hoke!

Some of those points were scored on defense

Which is awesome.

Is that including bowl games?

I know Michigan still played an 11-game schedule in 2003, so that one includes a truly horrifying Rose Bowl loss to USC. Not sure when Michigan transitioned to a 12-game schedule, but it was definitely in place by 2006.

No, Michigan played a 12-game regular season in 2003:

They have played a 12-game regular season every year since 2002 (before 2002, the only times they played a 12-game regular season were in 1986 and 1998, both times when we got exemptions for playing a game at Hawaii a week or two after the Ohio game).

I had no idea we were + in 2009. Crazy.
HOKE!

If they hadn't robbed Fitz of his game-sealing TD, we would have had 414 points on offense, besting last year...

Not sure where you got those numbers from. The 2010 12 game stats were 412 points for, 406 points against. The 13 game states were 426 points for and 458 against.
If Michigan scores 16 points in the bowl game, it ties its 13 game totals from last season. If Michigan allows 252 points in the bowl game, it matches last season's points allowed. The turnaround is remarkable.

Thanks for pointing out the error. I deducted the points we scored against Miss State from the 2010 season total, but forgot to deduct the points we allowed that game. All other totals should be correct..
