For Four Years...
in the early 2000s, Michigan dominated the #96 spot on the Rivals Top 100 like no school in the history of the sport.

Does anyone else think that since Rich Rodriguez took over there has been less of an emphasis on the #96 ranked player than there was under Lloyd? It seems to me that this was one of the hallmark traditions of Michigan football, and it really burns my ass to see RR throwing it out the window.
It is the severe lack of family values that created this misstep.
the rivalry w/ OSU better... he'd have locked down ole #96 long ago.
Dude should be fired for this. Why, why, why, would Bill Martin hire such a know-nothing hick who can't recruit the number 96th ranked player? Will it never end?
This just in from the AP: "In my interview with an Indiana newspaper yesterday, I implied that Rich Rodriguez was bringing in kids with less-than-stellar characters, and I realize now I should have been more specific. What I meant to say is that the new staff has failed to uphold the longtime tradition established by Lloyd Carr of bringing in the #96-ranked player in the country. I would have been honored to be beaten out of playing time by such a player, but the idea of riding the pines behind guys who don't hold that hallowed numerical ranking was simply untenable to me."
Another Michigan tradition bites the dust.
I'm not sure I can even go into the stadium anymore.
This clears the way for night games with special halftime appearances from Metallica, maize jerseys with cool Oregon-esque steel shoulders and a wolverine mascot that does backflips through a flaming hoop.
I'm in shock. I understand not knowing about the #1 deal, but not knowng about the 96 rankd player committing to us? Wow, this is pathetic.
This calls for an image macro!
