Night Games Open Thread

Pretty good day for us, with NU taking out Sparty, Minnesota taking out Iowa, and our win.  Not exactly a great night of matchups, but college football is always better than not college football.  Some fun ones to watch:

Georgia 24 - Florida 20 (5 to go, Florida has ball on G 35)

Ole Miss at Auburn - 7 - ESPNU

South Carolina at Tennessee - 7:15 - ESPN2

Wisconsin at Ohio State - 8 ESPN

Stanford at USC - 8 - ABC/ESPN3

Clemson at GT - 8 - ESPN3/ABC

As usual, the full listings can be found here

Discuss and enjoy a solid day for us.

It's just frustrating watching a team like ohio or penn state keep winning. Seriously how the fuck do you lose to a team who has a pop warner offense?

Montee Ball and James White are averaging only 3 yards per carry against OSU's defense.  That's amazing with the beef they have up front.  This doesn't look good for our beat-up Oline on Nov. 26.

Let me see here, OSU has stuffed the outside run all night. It's 4th and 1 with 8 minutes left we are down 6, hey I have a great idea let's run a pitch to the outside, that will fool em'.

Funny thing is that Wiscy has all the talent in the world, but a knucklehead as a coach.  People were freaking out about him at the helm a couple of years ago, then he won a bunch of games and everything was forgotten.  He's a mediocre coach, and it shows in these close games.

leaves the game, you know it's going to be Braxton Miller run, and he just blows by everyone.

Gah!  We really better beat these fuckers.

Maybe Wisconsin will start playing better opponents in ooc to prepare themselves for the Big Ten, I swear they do this every year

that they're not as good as the media thought.  But it should be said that the firepower of this fully armed and operational OSU defense looks legit, like perhaps the best in the conference.  And MSU at home, as we know is a tough task.

Prior to this they blew the doors off of Nebraska.

Wisco is prone to some huge errors, but otherwise they look to be about as good as most top of the conference teams, which is pretty good but not national championship caliber, and certainly not unstoppable against good opponents.

As I said earlier, you can say they're overrated, but who exactly is a better team in the B1G?

Wisconsin looks like they're reverting back to "big n chunky".  Lots of really big guys that aren't all that athletic (and have 20+ pounds of bad weight on them).

The annoncers are morons:  "They're right back where they were. One score game."

Except for the minor fact that a couple first downs lets tOSU kill the clock and walk out with the victory...

With all the chaos in college football, the parody and unpredictable games, the switching of conferences, it's always nice to know that there is always one constant:

Clemson will have superior talent and blow it.  Thanks Tigers, for keeping my heart at ease.

Wouldnt be surprised is Bielema doesn't take the penalty here. Guy makes some iffy calls. .... and the announcers think that taking the penalty is a good idea.
