Night Games Open Thread
Pretty good day for us, with NU taking out Sparty, Minnesota taking out Iowa, and our win. Not exactly a great night of matchups, but college football is always better than not college football. Some fun ones to watch:
Georgia 24 - Florida 20 (5 to go, Florida has ball on G 35)
Ole Miss at Auburn - 7 - ESPNU
South Carolina at Tennessee - 7:15 - ESPN2
Wisconsin at Ohio State - 8 ESPN
Stanford at USC - 8 - ABC/ESPN3
Clemson at GT - 8 - ESPN3/ABC
As usual, the full listings can be found here
Discuss and enjoy a solid day for us.

It's just frustrating watching a team like ohio or penn state keep winning. Seriously how the fuck do you lose to a team who has a pop warner offense?

Braxton Miller is going to be pretty good by the time we run into OSU.
October 29th, 2011 at 10:24 PM ^
I'm more worried about our running backs being able to do any damage against their D.
I wish he could play the OSU team that Sparty played.
October 29th, 2011 at 10:28 PM ^
Keep in mind that he's playing in the friendly confines of the Horsehoe. It's on the road where inexperience stands out more.

Likes short shorts

Andrew Luck's wrist play card is on his center I think. He reads off the center's wrist playcard in the huddle.
October 29th, 2011 at 10:30 PM ^
Fuck Ohio.
October 29th, 2011 at 10:32 PM ^
playfake from Luck and he walks in to give them 4 point lead, 24-20
October 29th, 2011 at 10:37 PM ^
Did TV guy just say he thought Braxton Miller would need to complete 8 passes tonight for OSU to have a chance to win???? Really??? 8 completions????
October 29th, 2011 at 10:36 PM ^
Man, I sure hope Bauserderp gets the start against us.
October 29th, 2011 at 10:37 PM ^
I'm accustomed to seeing. That 3rd down throw was atrocious

would disagree with you there.
October 29th, 2011 at 10:42 PM ^
Montee Ball and James White are averaging only 3 yards per carry against OSU's defense. That's amazing with the beef they have up front. This doesn't look good for our beat-up Oline on Nov. 26.
October 29th, 2011 at 10:52 PM ^
There defense is very good. They will certainly be a handful.
October 29th, 2011 at 10:42 PM ^
Wisconsin: Oh right we have that huge WR. Maybe we should try throwing to him...
October 29th, 2011 at 10:44 PM ^
Awesome coverage.
October 29th, 2011 at 10:45 PM ^
That's an awful 4th and 1 playcall. Nothing wide has worked all day against that defense.
October 29th, 2011 at 10:46 PM ^
Bret Bielema sucks and he is very doughy looking
October 29th, 2011 at 10:46 PM ^
If Ohio state only throws 10 times per game, how is it so hard to stop them? If we focus on stopping the run could we hold them to two scores?
October 29th, 2011 at 10:50 PM ^
Wisconsin has basically held them to 13 points so far. The punt block was a huge deal.
October 29th, 2011 at 10:52 PM ^
I don't know. Their defense, as much as I hate to admit it, is amazing. They're shutting down everyone they play.
You don't need to score much if your opponent can't score at all.
October 29th, 2011 at 10:46 PM ^
Does Bielema suck? I'm kind of starting to think Bielema sucks.
October 29th, 2011 at 10:48 PM ^
Let me see here, OSU has stuffed the outside run all night. It's 4th and 1 with 8 minutes left we are down 6, hey I have a great idea let's run a pitch to the outside, that will fool em'.
October 29th, 2011 at 10:48 PM ^
These refs are really slow to whistle plays dead due to forward progress being stopped.
October 29th, 2011 at 10:50 PM ^
Funny thing is that Wiscy has all the talent in the world, but a knucklehead as a coach. People were freaking out about him at the helm a couple of years ago, then he won a bunch of games and everything was forgotten. He's a mediocre coach, and it shows in these close games.
October 29th, 2011 at 10:52 PM ^
I have ti disagree with all the talent in the world, they are known for taking a bunch of 2 and 3 star guys and making them look good.
October 29th, 2011 at 10:52 PM ^
Why the hell was Wisconsin laying off there? Did anyone think OSU was going to pass?
October 29th, 2011 at 10:52 PM ^
That may be the ballgame, folks.
October 29th, 2011 at 10:53 PM ^
Do the Colts take Andrew Luck if they have the #1 pick??
October 29th, 2011 at 10:58 PM ^
October 29th, 2011 at 10:53 PM ^
leaves the game, you know it's going to be Braxton Miller run, and he just blows by everyone.
Gah! We really better beat these fuckers.
October 29th, 2011 at 10:54 PM ^
Wisco's linebacker play is reminding me of Ezeh against MSU last year. Missing tackles, horrible pursuit. Even if Miller pitched that it was a touchdown.
October 29th, 2011 at 10:54 PM ^
Maybe Wisconsin will start playing better opponents in ooc to prepare themselves for the Big Ten, I swear they do this every year
October 29th, 2011 at 11:07 PM ^
that they're not as good as the media thought. But it should be said that the firepower of this fully armed and operational OSU defense looks legit, like perhaps the best in the conference. And MSU at home, as we know is a tough task.
Prior to this they blew the doors off of Nebraska.
Wisco is prone to some huge errors, but otherwise they look to be about as good as most top of the conference teams, which is pretty good but not national championship caliber, and certainly not unstoppable against good opponents.
As I said earlier, you can say they're overrated, but who exactly is a better team in the B1G?
October 29th, 2011 at 10:56 PM ^
Wisconsin looks like they're reverting back to "big n chunky". Lots of really big guys that aren't all that athletic (and have 20+ pounds of bad weight on them).
October 29th, 2011 at 10:59 PM ^
their failed attempts to run outside over and over again surprised me.
Penn State to make the Big 10 title game?
October 29th, 2011 at 11:00 PM ^
wisconsin scores quickly. Where's this been all game long? Time to beat tsio.
October 29th, 2011 at 11:00 PM ^
Sometimes it doesn't work out but after not playing anyone for the entire OOC they want to give their fan base some excitement.
October 29th, 2011 at 11:04 PM ^
The annoncers are morons: "They're right back where they were. One score game."
Except for the minor fact that a couple first downs lets tOSU kill the clock and walk out with the victory...
October 29th, 2011 at 11:07 PM ^
With all the chaos in college football, the parody and unpredictable games, the switching of conferences, it's always nice to know that there is always one constant:
Clemson will have superior talent and blow it. Thanks Tigers, for keeping my heart at ease.
October 29th, 2011 at 11:07 PM ^
Wouldnt be surprised is Bielema doesn't take the penalty here. Guy makes some iffy calls. .... and the announcers think that taking the penalty is a good idea.
October 29th, 2011 at 11:07 PM ^
Fickell should go for it. Miller around the edge should be good for at least one.
October 29th, 2011 at 11:11 PM ^
Should have gone for it or fake the punt. If you get it (which you should) then you get the clock down to at least 20 seconds. If you don't, you give your QB (who isn't very good at throwing and needs more time) to go down and score if Wisc scores.
October 29th, 2011 at 11:11 PM ^
Cue #11W meltdown.
October 29th, 2011 at 11:11 PM ^
