In a different thread today it was noted that Muller named Rutgers his favorite. Quick trigger.
It must be a good sign when you see a 4* kid that was interested in Michigan go elsewhere and actually feel kind of relieved that he didn't take a spot away from a higher rated player. It's great to be a Michigan Wolverine.
Were we even recruiting him? I don't recall his name.
That said, seems like a good pick up for Rutgers.
A very big get for Rutgers. If they get Morgan too, that program is way ahead of the curve after a notably abysmal year.
I would suggest that the question is, did Rutgers have an abysmal year last year, or did they simply have two anomalously good years . . . .
I think that's an accurate statement. I keep trying to explain to my father how much of a bullet we dodged when we Schiano turned us down. Not that it worked out any better without him...
I find it very strange that Rutgers went 4 wins and 8 losses last year and is getting a good amount of good players, and/or are in on a lot of good players who are heavily looking at them. But, then again, from 2005-2009 they had an above 500 record winning anywhere between 7-11 games.
Also, Clemson is the same way with the exception of them having a longer consecitive years at being above 500, and the number of wins being different then Rutgers'.
Rutgers had two anomalously good years but in the Big East, years like that can happen at any moment.
I can't start threads, but there is a thread on a premium site stating that Gunner Kiel will announce for Michigan next Tuesday!!!!
Rutgers is yet to finish higher than 3rd in an 8-team conference.
Their fifteen minutes of mediocrity are up.
