So whats the problem here?...
Good thing Dave Brandon didn't think of this.

Shut down after decades of underaged drinking violations. Second Chance was around the corner with terrific live music.

Nothing really dangerous, but it was scary as heck, and a lot of other strange or drunk people roaming around.
Also breaking into the union from WQ and stealing bowling balls and pins and then rolling them down various WQ halls.
I think I'm now understanding why my grades weren't as good as they should have been.

and the 4th floor guys were happy to help out.
I think I heard about the quarter barrel story at the BIg House. Was Arv your RA? He was there for like 10 years.
If you ever road tripped to Camp Randall back in the day, they took football drinking to a whole elite level.

I lived with a basketball player through grad school around this time. Went to Charlies with Wade a few times. He was a good dresser and had a Bear Bryant style hat and was a great , great guy.
On a very tragic note I remember a party at South Quad around that time seeing Roy passed out in a bathroom stall. It took many guys to move him. I thought he had too many beers but sadly found out later it wasn't beer...

All State basketball players who also happened to be on the football team.
The strangest dude on my hall was a kleptomaniac from East Lansing of all places. He worked in the Chem lab and I think was the inspiration for Breaking Bad. ANyway he stole all sorts of surgical tubing and funnels and we shot oranges from the middle of West Quad into South Quad causing South Quad to retaliate on Rumsey House, which resulted in all sorts of craziness and perhaps some arrests. To quote Animal House, we were up on the roof saying, " THIS IS GREAT!".

I was with my buddies at Dooley's going traying (we would order a tray of drinks at a time,lol) and one guy at the next table is flirting with some girl on the top balcony level. Her boyfriend gets wind of this and starts jawing at this guy below. Next thing he goes all WWF jumping off the balcony on to our table and these two guys go at it. All hell breaks loose like a Bruce Lee movie, and I'm stupidly worried about my multiple gin and tonics.
All of sudden both main combatants are levitating due to the fact that bouncer Ed has picked their asses up of the ground. Both guys go from tough guys to scared shitless as he carries them out the door like two loaves of bread. I think he just tossed them outside like garbage, and then my roommate goes to flirt and eventually scores with the girl in the top level.
Dooley's and Second Chance were the source of so many memories.
|2 days 20 hours ago||When did you live there?!||
I was going to type the exact same thing! I lived in WIlliams House from 78-80.
One of my best memories was on my first day in the dorm decorating my room with 100's of SI covers I collected to make a giant mosaic. I was standing on a chair reaching up to tape one cover on the ceiling and this giant hand came over my shoulder to help me and then I hear, " Hi I'm Paul Heureman, nice to meet you". I was a rabid basketball fan and just about shit in my pants. He lived with the Bodnars and they couldn't have been nicer hallmates. Great guy except his son is the OSU tight end.

Izzo has over judged his recent recruits or hasn't coached them up much the past couple years. He over coaches like an NBA coaches who wish to be the star of the game - Along with Beilein, Bo Ryan does a nice job of letting is players play imo.
Valenti also said he doesn't want to hear Izzo crying about injuries. Where have we heard that before?

It's always nice to hear the facts. While some of the stereotyping here is wrong, it's hard not to imagine these students as being "entitled".
The fact that a chapter advisor and Prior are doing the right things now after this became a PR clusterfu#K , and not earlier by the SAM President (whose initial e-mail struck many of us as insincere) doesn't look good to a neutral observer.
|3 days 5 hours ago||Interesting, but I see RichRod offered||
and they don't have use for "slower" backs most of the time. I'm thinking the Weber courtship is probably a bigger reason? Oh well, it makes for a good soap opera which I'm sure will have more twists and turns.
Kudos to the kid for having his head on straight and being a good citizen. Speaking of Toby Gerhart...
I think Kerridge will have a big season under JH and is an exemplary kid off the field. Stanford was interested in him and he may have gone there if not for a senior year injury. Lots of respect for coachable, smart kids who do it on and off the field.

|4 days 6 hours ago||Today Greece also elected a new PM, Tsipras - Olympiakos||
His radical financial ideas, support for Russia, and his concerns over the European approach to the Ukraine crisis is cause for concern. Two Greek officials told The WSJ that a strongly-worded statement on Russia issued by EU leaders earlier today did not have the consent of the new Prime Minister. Not a promising start, and tensions may further increase should the EU decide on further sanctions against Moscow. On to more important things ; ) Olympiakos have just appointed former Porto head coach Vitor Pereira as their new manager. Olympiakos are back on top of table after their 6th straight win but apparently that was not good enough. I have found most Greeks friendly and laid back until soccer is brought up.
