Hey Brian, LSU laid the smackdown in the Cotton Bowl on Texas A&M, not the other way around. That's one of the reasons I find all the Aggie preseason hype to be a little overblown. Also, I believe that game was pretty much the only one all year where Jordan Jefferson played moderately well throughout.
Not only should the team significantly improve next season and most definitely make the NCAAs, but if you look at the other rosters in the Big Ten, Michigan will probably be one of the most experienced teams while still being relatively young. OSU will lose Diebler, Lauderdale, Lighty, and most certainly Sullinger. Wisconsin loses Lauer and Nankivil, two of their three players averaging more than 6 ppg and their best bigs. Purdue will be saying goodbye to Johnson and Moore, their two best players with Hummel hurt. And even Illinois will graduate McCamey, Tisdale, and Davis. While it's way too early to make any definite statements, don't be shocked if next year's Wolverines are at least competing for the Big Ten title.
I really like the thinking behind this thread. It's safe to say I wasn't thrilled originally with the hire as it relates to Denard, but I think these coaches won't be dumb enough where they won't take advantage of his skill set. And Denard also likely realized this can only help if he wants to make it as a QB in the NFL.
While our Wolverines are out there in Jacksonville securing a much-needed W, I have a strong feeling Sparty won't be so successful with the Tide down in Orlando.

Not like this is preventable, but we simply can't have a Denard injury scare. I don't care if it means the Wolverines lose by 30, we should not even consider burning DG's redshirt under any circumstances.
As much as I would love to see Harbaugh announced as head coach in the next coming days after the Orange Bowl, what gives me pause is that I think I'd rather see RichRod stay if Denard would transfer due to the move. I know, not exactly an earth-shattering revelation, but I'd be royally pissed if Harbaugh went straight to a more pro-style offense right from the get-go even with our current personnel.
Would love to land this kid, not only because it's always great to get highly ranked O-line help, but his high school QB at Simeon is a junior and could be a big target for next year's class.
