But hey congrats we beat a 4-6 MSU team. My oh my has our fanbase really fallen. I remember celebrating B1G Titles and beating good teams, not beating 4-6 teams who we sarcasticallt like to claim aren't our rivals?♂️
Goins will be replaced by Henry (who is their best pro prospect, not Tillman. Tillman is still a good pro prospect) and Malik Hall. McQuaid will be replaced by Rocket Watts. They still have Josh Langford. They're fine there.
As for Tillman and Winston...I can tell you 100% neither will be going to the NBA. Final Four exit, National Title, whatever it is....neither is leaving. If they're going to lose an underclassman, it's Ward.
And that's why he's having success. Many of these kids dont fit his scheme. But there are some he should be pushing for that he hasn't or isn't. But, he's getting results so can't argue his methods?♂️
Brown yes. Dude just came off the bench to light a team up in the Sweet 16. Bingham..not sold. IF he gains weight yes, kid can shoot and defend. If he can't gain weight, then no. He won't last in the B1G. Brown rode the bench this year because of his defensive effort not being where it should be. The kid is an offensive weapon. Johns hasn't shown me anything at all and I'm seeing why MSU chose to pursue Bingham harder, even if he is a major project.
We had "far more" success for 2, maybe 3 years. That doesn't trump 12-15 years of MSU having more success than us while we were missing tourneys or exiting early. He has a valid point, they grew up with us being "meh" while MSU was making Final Fours every 3 or so years. Beilein is closing the gap, but this year showed there is more work needed.
Michigan played in the title game with nearly an entirely different team. Michigan State will be returning almost all their dudes again next season. So no. Both teams will be very highly ranked next season.
Good players...but Cassius Winston, Xavier Tillman, Miles Bridges, Gabe Brown, Marcus Bingham, and DeYonta Davis say hi back. And 4 of those players just schooled our dudes 3 times and are playing for a title.?♂️ Fact is, we don't push for in state talent. And I'm still not sold on Johns.

Both have him as a high 4 star, with the 247 ranking being nearly a 5 star, which I think is a bit high.
