The degree is from the Board of Regents of the University of Michigan by recomendation of the President of the University of Michigan Dearborn or Flint
I was in the Navy for 10 years. I was stationed aboard the attack submarine USS Hawkbill for 6 years and have incredible memories. I did numerous deployments including two deployments to the Arctic (I might of left my Michigan mug at the North Pole.) When I got out I wanted to go to school. I was accepted at U of M and the reception I got at Michigan was fantastic. I got to participate on the pre-game festivities for the Veterans Day game against Illinois (Rich Rod was still coach) and got to be on the field. I said "Go Blue" to Denard, and Dave Brandon shook my hand. As a son of a Michigan alum, who grew up at Michigan Stadium on Saturdays, this was absolutley amazing for me. The best part was standing in the North endzone after being recognized as Student Veterans and having the entire student section sing The Victors. I have now graduated with my degree in History. Thanks to all who have served, thanks to the University of Michigan for realizing the potential of Veterans, and GO BLUE!
