I'm so sad about this team.  I remember the 1981-82 season; team went 7 and 20, but it was so much better than this. My favorite player ever, Thad Garner, led that team.  Lost the first 13 games, with Garner throwing his body at every loose ball heading out of bounds.  Somehow he got the team turned around they won 6 of the last 13 games include a win over #7 Iowa.  They finished the season tied for 7th (out of a righteous 10 teams).  I went to every single home game and loved they way they fought and clawed.  I can't watch this team...

I got a BGS at UMich; Best decision I ever made!  I would have failed out if i'd had to take a foreign language - I got a D- in first semester French.  After graduating I took a year abroad and a year prepping for the GRE, then I went to UT Austin and earned a PhD in Clinical Psychology.  Decided to go into industry instead of practice and never looked back.  Now I'm a senior executive at a publicly traded company with an 8-10B$ market cap.

It's not the degree you get, but what you decide to do with it.

Bryan Fisher's picks seem a little "fishy."  He picked us to beat MSU and Ohio in our preview.  But in his predictions for MSU and Ohio he picked them to beat us!  Easy to please more fans by picking their team to win more games.

I keep getting orders to attack Notre Dame - this doesn't seem to make any sense since they have been eliminated.  What should i do?

Hi all, i've logged in and have made a move two of the last 4 days.  However, my orders have been to attack Notre Dame - this seems futile since they've been eliminated.  I just want to be a good soldier and follow orders, but if attacking Notre Dame is the thing to do, i'd like confirmation from someone.  Thanks!

Excellent Analysis

Thanks LSAClassOf2000 for this excellent post.  I love draft analysis work.  One question I have about this is how the frequency of positions on NFL rosters affects things.  I'm thinking there are probably 3-4 DBs on a roster for every C.  Thanks again and keep up the EXCELLENT Posts!!!

I grew up in A2

I grew up in A2 and did my undergrad at UM.  I moved to Austin 25 years ago for graduate school and stayed.  I love it here.

School comments below are completely and total biased and judgemental - take them for what you paid for them.

My daughter is just beginning her senior year at Anderson high school (she's been in the Anderson school district since first grade).  It's a very good public school and we moved to the neighborhood to be in this district.  It's really "nerd" high - there are lots of smart kids and the school is pretty "under control" with a good principal and strong AP courses.  Most families are middle to upper middle class although there's some diversity (much less in Texas that Ann Arbor, though) with lots of parents who are engineers, in the professions, etc.  We are very happy with it; my wife is VP of the PTA and we are very active at the school.

Westlake is more "socially elevated" than Anderson.  It's a very very strong academic school with outstanding athletics too.  It's a pretty big school also and it draws from some of the most wealthy areas of town (although not the wealthiest - that's Austin High, or the private schools).  Lots of kids from family money and families in businesses. Kids drive nicest cars and carry LV purses - there's more pressure to be "in" and keep up with the other kids compared to Anderson (although that's always as issue in high school, at least to some extent).

Vandergrift is not too far away and much newer.  We've been there for a couple of football games and it seems nice, but i can't really comment on the school itself.

Good luck with your decision
