Sedans in general and full

Sedans in general and full size sedans in particular are unloved in the market.  Sales are way down and shifting to SUVs.    But if you like driving a big sedan... this is the one.  Maybe there is a better car for twice the price (think BMW 7 series, or the big Audi) but nothing close at $45K

Current Taurus SHO

I have a 2010 Taurus SHO.  I love it.  Great dad "sports" car.  Good room inside and vast trunk space.  7 years along and I think the interior styling is still nicer than new cars and the exterior holds up just fine for a big sedan. The steering and feel are responsive and hte 365HP duel turbo Ecotech engine is nice.  Its not a drag racer but when I want to enter the highway at 80mph, or get around someone, that is no issue ... great cruising power.   I'm at 115K and will drive it until the wheels fall off.

Jojen?

Can someone tell me what happened to Jojen in the show?  I read the books a long time ago and with a year between show seasons some of the details fade and blend between show nad books.  What happened to that guy in the show?

Nihongo

I took the econ weeder courses and they were hard. Nothing compared though to taking Japanese to fullfill my language requirement.  As 17 year old midwestern kid I thought it "would be neat" to learn Japanese.  That class was 50% Japanese American kids who talked a little Japanese at home with Grandma or whoever, 49% white kids who lived in Japan for a few years with their expat parents, 1% me.  I got my ass so severely kicked on that curve. Plus it was 5 credits, every day of the week, with substantial preparation for each class.  I pass/failed the last 2 semesters and a KNOW they passed me out of pity.  I never worked so hard to suck at something.

Baby's first game

My daughter should be born by Friday evening. I have secured permission to put her Michigan dress on and watch the game with her.  She won't know what's going on but watching Michigan football in her first 24 hours will be part of her narrative.  first tailgate in October and then on to a lifetime of Michigan memories with daddy.  I am so happy to pass on my love for this program that I had to share this is my first comment on Mgoblog in 7 years of reading.  I expect her to be undefeted lifetime come Saturday evening. Go Blue!

The proper alternative spelling is

Columbass.  And if said that way, then you haven't uttered the unholy name.

I'm going for the first time.  I'm carrying my jersey in a grocery bag to and from the stadium and flying the colors during the game.  My wafer thin companion is scared to wear his gear but he's going to be standing next to me and I will cheer when Robinson rips off a long TD so he has it coming to him despite the cowardly tactics.

I'm thinking of passing out buckeye candy to make peace with those around me at the stadium (chocolate and peanut butter in the form of stupid team namesake).  Laced with exlax of course.  Can't fight them all but, since I'll be taking a ton of shit, I plan on handing out some of my own (literally).  Have to out think these knuckle draggers when they have the numbers.  Not hard to do.

Nonsense Pogue - you are just jealous. Your comment is ridiculous. The Steelers have had approx 5 losing seasons in my 37 years on the planet (a couple of those were 7-9) so... how would you know what Steeler's fans do when the team is bad... the team is NEVER bad (not since about 1971). The fans are NOT fair weather either - you would be hard pressed to find fans of any Pro team that identify with their team, or a city with its team for that matter, more than the Steelers and their fans/city. Polamalu isn't dirty either. Where's your support for that?
When did that happen? Ward is almost never penalized or fined. He is a clean and punishing hitter. The Ravens hate is guts b/c he isn't scared of them and he absolutely rips them up. They, and you, can enjoy watching him go for Super Bowl MVP #2
Hines Ward will be in the Hall of Fame Hines ward is the toughest player in the NFL. He lays out bigger defenders with clean hits and he is fearless over the middle. You have to me a man to go over the middle against a Baltimore D which features actual murderers who have a bounty on your head. It was actually referred to as "a Hines Ward" when Sweed layed out a DB on a clean hit. And the guy puts up season after season (12 now) with great stats in run oriented offense. Oh yeah, he has a superbowl MVP trophy (and ring) and he is a great team leader. I am typing this in my #86 jersey. I would be one of the dislikable fans previously mentioned. Dislikable, presumably, due to jealousy of having a great team and a great franchise to root for. Sort of a dumb reason. The steelers play football the way any Michigan fan should appreciate: run the ball; tough D; tradition of winning; classy management... what's not to like? HERE WE GO STEELERS, HERE WE GO!
