There isn't a answer that is right for everytime. If the linebackers are run heavy then obviously a slant is good. but if they are playing the middle of the field then its a bad choice. If the safties have the flats then posts are usually a good route.
It depends on if the corner bites or not. Usually if the QB rolls away from the corners side then he gets the deep third. This would allow for a good bubble screen on the backside.
