Hatred? Can we reserve hatred for things really deserving of hatred? I am a Michigan grad and life long fan, and I live in East Lansing (actually neighbors of Dantanio and Izzo). I have to put up with State BS all the time. But I distinguish between my dislike of MSU fans who hate Michigan and beings truly worthy of hatred (I'll let you fill in the blank as to who that is). Please keep sports in perspective. It's a pimple on the butt of what is truly important in our world.

The Happiness Equation The Happiness Equation by Neil Pasricha is an excellent read about how to achieve happiness. If you are looking for an outstanding classic, nothing beats The Count of Monte Cristo.
Inbred Cesspool? Good Holiday Spirit MGoBlueMyself. I'm a proud Cheboygan High School graduate, and I don't appreciate your unkind words for the good people of Cheboygan, which by the way has a proud football history including a 43 game winning streak and legendary coaches Irv Sigler and Jack Coon.
My son just hiked both trails My son made it through two thirds of the AT in 2014 before a tick bite and total loss of energy knocked him off the Trail. He was treated for Lymes and totally recovered. On April 29, 2015 he started at the beginning of the PCT (Mexican border) and he completed the entire PCT on August 1 2015 (he averaged 28 miles per day). He flew from Vancouver back to Massachusetts and got back on thr AT where he got knocked off the prior summer. When he left in April he promised me he would be home for Michigan's first game against Utah. Like me (Mich law 1978) he bleeds Blue. He performed the impossible and made it home to East Lansing (enemy territory) two minutes before game time. One of the great moments of my life. His magnificent videos of both his hikes are posted on Vimeo.com. Search Ted's Pacific Trail Hike and enjoy.
