Wow last time I listened to Explosions in the Sky I was probably doing problem sets in the fishbowl (mid 2000s), but that sounds like a good track to play tonight!
Wow, totally remember the feeling when that video came out - when we thought we’d be back on top in a year or two. Had no idea that there was a decade in the wilderness ahead of us.
On the plus side now we really know how to appreciate the good - I have a note on my phone that says “sometimes Haskins hurtles a dude” that I look at to remind me that great things are possible!
Beat Ohio. Win the B1G. Rose bowl champs. AND my 2nd favorite team also beats OSU? Best football year ever, and will be even sweeter with a NC next week. Go Blue! MIZ-ZOU! It’s great, to be, a Michigan Wolverine!!!!!!!!
Savor it: there's nothing better than watching a game with your dad. I lost my dad late last year, and while Christmas was tough and Thanksgiving was tougher, I think the toughest moment was this afternoon when I realized that college football was starting tomorrow and I won't be able to call my dad to talk about it. I've always felt that the greatest thing about sports is how they influence our relationships with our families and the past, and in my opinion that connection is strongest with college football... even though I root for a different team than the rest of my family. So just this once: ILL-INI, but if by some miracle Illinois makes the B1G championship game I hope Michigan wipes the floor with them, and I know dad would understand.
tl;dr: college football is great, enjoy watching the game with your dad!
I don't know about 34's, but I was rejected with a 33. Granted I was transferring, so the situation was a little different. All worked out for the best, though: I transferred to Michigan instead and haven't regretted it for a second!
A couple of my non-Michigan fan friends said it was the best game of the year (this was before the Iron bowl ending), so I know at least two or three people without a horse in the race really enjoyed it. In terms of all time great games, I'll always have the OK v. Boise Fiesta Bowl on my list of top games without a rooting interest.
Agreed, I need that. I'm currently scouring the internet for something like it, but this is the closest thing I've found (and it's not nearly as epic):
I just moved out to the west coast and have been dreading an Oberon free summer. If any Mgoblogers in San Francisco know of a place to get Bells or Three Floyds, I'm all ears.
Well said. I feel like I say this every year, but this senior class has given me more unforgettable moments than I can count. To add to your sentiment, "The Team, The Team, The Team!" and while we're at it... Beat Ohio!
Anyone else feel that the better the D-line plays, the more critical Hoke gets of them in these press confrences? Here's hoping he never says another positive thing about the line again.
Most of my family went to Illinois, but despite the fact that they think we're rivals, we always bond over hating Ohio. I've found that most B1G fans I've run into have that in common with me.

There’s only one thing left to say tonight: It’s great! To be! A Michigan Wolverine! It’s great! To be! A Michigan Wolverine!
Happy about this one! Moving on Tuesday and was worried the game would start before I had the TV ready.

Still can't believe that actually went in.
That. Was. So. Damn. Brilliant.
Trey and Mitch (and the whole damn team) are my heroes.
As a Mizzou and Michigan fan, this is the exact opposite of the Flea Kicker. Or not, I don't know, I'm too excited to worry about it.
It's great to be a Michigan Wolverine.
Damn, I guess it's just as bad as I imagined it would be. Time to find a new favorite brewery!

Maryland specifically: could be worse, we could be adding Rutgers.

Can't post a new topic, but Pre-Snap Read just posted a Michigan Preview. Blue checks in at #29.
