I sat in the row directly in

I sat in the row directly in front of visting fans for 20 years before I moved my seats down and BY FAR (not counting sparties because it's personal with them)  the most obnoxious jerk fan group was PSU.  One of my favorite exits from a game was a few years ago when in parody to their arrogant chant " We are..Penn State"  someone had a 2 sided sign that read on one side "We Own" ......."Penn State"

Fullmer votes us 4th !! in the final 1997 Coaches Poll

Fullmer cost us half of the NC in 1997 because he was whining about Woodson beating his boy Peyton for the Heisman.

Fullmer voted M 4th !! in 1997

I always liked the Vols until Fullmer cost us half of the 1997 National Championship by voting our undefeated team with over 30 ! future NFL players FOURTH in the final Coaches Poll.  He was whining about Charles Woodson topping his boy Peyton for the Heisman.

kicking woes

M's kicking woes go back to Bo ,(God love him), who didn't consider a kicker a football player. He would give a scholarship to a lineman that would end up 4th string rather than give one to a kicker. It did come back to haunt him.  I think his winning pct for games decided by one score (8 points or less) was in the low 30's and his winning pct for games decided by more than one score was close to 90.

OSU would traditionally have a player who punted only and was great and our punter was many times also a linebacker that punted low line drives (although amazingly we would be on the punt returner in a heartbeat). We all remember the close OSU games lost due to poor fg kicking.

A big deal was made when Bo recruited his first kicker for scholarship. Things have improved in the last 20 years regarding our kicking game but a program like M's shouldn't have to rely on student tryouts.

ford family

the Fords (almost 50 years !! of losing tradition) and Sparty are a match made in heaven

exams

ND always seems to be 'in the middle of exams' when they have a big game (of course no other school has exams)
