NCAA alots 15 spring practices by regulation. Split squad means 30 practices for student managers, but only 15 for players. That is not possible for a normal student - 2x time commitment is not possible. This kid had to quit the program to met his academic commitments. Harbaugh is dillusional.
Michigan hoops plays 3 intense games in a row? I mean come on, that just is not good for anyone - except for the money-grubbing schools and conferences.
Michigan football? Now they are doing split squad spring practices so the coaches can get 30 sessions in versus the15 technically allowed. I know a student manger that is distraught but needs to quit the program. Today he was there from 8:30am until 5:00pm. I get it that the coaches can double the development time for players with this tactic but student managers aren't paid $5mm per year. The players are limited to 4 hours per practice by NCAA regulations , but the student managers are required to be there 8 hours per practice to cover the split-squad duty. They just crushed this kids dream to be part of a great thing, but he is done with the program to focus on school.
Beating IU in hoops when I was at UM was huge. Those IU teams in the 70s/80s under BK were the best in the nation and maybe of all time. So whenever we spank that IU logo, I love it. Can you believe this injury riddled team is in the semis of the B1G ? So awesome. Coach is a wizard.

The B1G's recent success in MD/DC and NJ is directly correlated to PSU, Maryland and Rutgers joining the conference. When a recruit and family realize that the distance to Columbus or Ann Arbor is a doable weekend plus they pick up away games easily at PSU, M, R ... heck, IU or even MooU are doable. Thus, except for a far away cross-over, every other game is drivable. So the best B1G East schools should cleanup in these talent rich states. Recruits want their families to see them play college ball. Most of these football families (Dad, Mom, Siblings) probably can't afford the extra time and travel cost to travel in mass cross-country. But all piling-in the minivan Friday after work/school headed to see junior play ball? Doable.
The "Signing of the Stars" hype was a negative for UM b-ball and John Harbaugh strutting the IU hat and gear in the cameras for the world to see was a total downer. When I saw that, I said to the wife "these are just kids and that says the celebraties are all for IU not Michigan" ... I mean it is in your face on ESPN. Fuck John Harbaugh he ain't no Michigan Man.

McDoom is a track star. As a junior he posted a 10.85 int the district 100 and is district champ in the 200 and 400. That 10.85 time translates into 4.4-something in the 40 yard dash. Definitely elite speed from his track meet records. So that 4.48 time posted is probably accurate.
He is also a track star. Runs a 10.7 / 100 ... from his track stats. Looks like a return specialist and maybe a slot receiver or corner if he keeps growing. Looks taller than 5'9 in the Hudl clips.

Bosse is a versatile, but classic MLB. Nice complement to Bush. Uche is a Buck and way under-rated. Two good pick ups and important to depth in 2017+

Looking out my window right now and it reminds me of my youth in Michigan - snow storm! NJ recruits know snow and that is a good thing. But this storm is a blizzard and their homes are going to get buried in 2 feet of that white stuff today. Classic Nor'easter ... moisture comes from the south in brute force with winds gusts up to 40 mph to collide with that New England cold air mass. This beast will take down power lines and cripple all modes of transportation on the East Coast and Mid Atlantic. But just as quickly as she arrives, she departs with the same speed. Monday will be back to BAU.
This guy is a road grader. Really like his wide base and seems quick off the ball. Versatile - could play right tackle or either guard spot. Stars don't mean much, this seems like an upgrade for what we need.

Folks, Rashan's mother is no idiot. Taking money in college and getting caught is a death sentence. She is way smarter than that ... this comes down to playing with his buddies in the North (UM) or take a flier and play in the South (you pick the SEC school).
The NJ catholic schools are region powers and play in a separate parochial league from the rest of the public high schools. Players are recruited and given scholarships to play football at these private high schools. Often these teams also travel the country to play top teams in FLA, TX and CA.
Paramus was historically the third best in the league - behind Bergen Catholic and perennial power Don Bosco. When Partridge became head coach at Paramus he set out to change that order and he did - how ? Excellent recruiter and mentor, hard-nosed LB type guy who is real to these kids. Partridge convinced Peppers to transfer from Don Bosco in Jabrill's sophomore year. The rest is history and Paramus became the top team during those years. Peppers brought other guys with him. Call it the Partridge/Peppers pipeline which is now flourishing for UM.
