Man reading the comments on that 247 story is a pleasure. Florida fans asking why Florida kids would want to go play in "frigid" weather for a "lunatic". Idk, maybe they watched the Citrus bowl..

The Florida and California teams use the same old line about warm weather, laying on the beach and bathing suits but recruits need to ask themselves do they want to play in the NFL or lay on the beach? Most NFL teams are in cold weather states with outdoor stadiums. All they talk about on twitter is grinding and going to work and eattin.

How can you get better if you dont learn from the best?

How do you get better if you dont play against the best?

How do you get better if you dont train at the best facilities?

You can lie on the beach and go to the NFL, theyre not mutually exclusive.  You can play against the best in the Pac12 and SEC.  Those schools have facilities just as nice as ours.  The only real point you've got is the one on learning from the best but that's only been true for one year.

Vast number of NFLers are from warm climate coastal state colleges. This issue won't go away and many kids will continue to pick these schools over Michigan. Get use to it. And that's not to say that Michigan won't ever be able to get any of these kids. The will but not to the extent the warmer schools will.

Look, there is a big reason why so many people from Michigan move to California or Florida and it's not because of the football. It's the weather, stupid!

The two points were that if you want to play in the NFL, lying on the beach and nice weather should be the ;east of your concerns. After you have put in the work and proven you have what it takes, you might get drafted. Then, you worry about lying on the beach. Once you have earned the priviledge of playing in the NFL you can spend the off season in Malibu or South Beach.

Second, Michigan has arguably one of the best training facilities in all of football and there are a lot of schools who's stadiums, practice facilities,  campus etc. are dumps in comparison. Notre Dame's Stadium for example is a dump. Ole Miss is in a gost town and very few pro teams have indoor and outdoor facilities, like we do. When a recruit takes a visit to UM he knows because probably none of his other visits have been this impressive.

When you couple that with the people who are training you (former college and pro guys with years of experience success and connections), you know this is the big leagues. Now ask yourself,

Who got it better than us??????

Serious answer is I dont believe any offer is commitable until the LOI is sent. Neither party should be held responsible for the contract until then. All the responsibility cant be placed on one party when the other party can decide to reneg at their convenience. This angst over offers is ridiculous.

Any chance they see him as a tackle after a redshirt year and gaining some weight? A pretty big boy at 6'6", just a thought.

Edit: Nvm after watching his film, they split him out a lot. Pretty fast too for his size.
