Yes it will. We can bank that

Yes it will. We can bank that scholarship and use it on an early enrollee. The early enrollee from the class of 2016 would then count for the previous year (2015), thus freeing up a scholly for the class of 2016.

You may be right, and

You may be right, and Harbaugh may have the kid's best interests at heart, but it does help the scholarship issue a little that we'll face in 2016. Pipkins scholly can be used on a 2016 early enrollee

Yep, this is a move to free

Yep, this is a move to free up space for the 2016 class. It can be be used on an early enrollee and count towards last years class. The guy wasn't going to contribute, so Harbaugh pushed for the medical DQ. He still gets a free education and we can use that scholly on an early enrollee. SEC schools woudn't even bat an eye at this, so why should we? It's not like we asked him to pay his way for his final year of school.

His scholarship would be

His scholarship would be available if Pipkins signed the Medical DQ like was asked of him. That scholarship could have been used on a transfer, or more likely, on an early enrollee, freeing up more room for the 2016 class.

We can all see the writing on the wall. We already have 20 committs for 14 spots and we're projected to take 22-25. We have to free up room and this is a step in that direction by using Pipkin's scholly on an early enrollee.

We're playing big boy football now and this is the cost.

Good Point

Kids are going to do dumb things. I overlooked the fact that the total number doesn't really matter. What's more important is the reaction and steps made by the program, whether it's one kid or 50. Going to be interesting to see how much time he misses.

That I agree with

Sparty's obsession is sad. I'm sure they are in full spin mode. My point was simply that the game is dirty across the board. It's a fascinating website and you could spend hours on there, espcially looking through the SEC schools. Who would have thought Iowa would be leading the big ten in arrests. Let's stop worrying about claiming moral superiority and beat them on the damn field.

So Rather

So rather than comment on the facts, you claim I'm a sparty?

Let's be real

Come on guys, lets actually avoid throwing stones until we can at least claim we have fewer arrests. I love my school, but I'm so tired of this holier than thou attitidue. Couldn't resist jumping in. Just win games.
