I think the Harbaugh reaction to field GIF is probably one of my favorites all time now. It just points out the huge difference between the two coaches. I like Franklin and I hope he can get it back on track but that decision is what will drive Penn State fans crazy (as it should)....play to win!
As a vet, I really don't mind either one. It's not like are desecrating the flag or anything of the sort. A lot of times, college students catch a lot of heat for being really involved with social issues. College is definitely a time where a lot of young students can really find out a lot about themselves and it is good that they can take a stand against something. Now as others have pointed out, more has to be done to reall make an impact.
I am very happy & proud that Harabaugh is publicly supporting them as well
I really enjoy reading the current status of each conference and the best wins/losses.
This year is probably the first in a while where there isnt one conference that really stands above the others. It seems like each conference has their equal share of great teams and scrubs (except you B12). I think it is really difficult for one conference to say that their conference is the top conference over conference x/y/z. Big Ten East is probably the best Division in college football though.
I think the general concesus was that back in '07, Michigan was a legitimate contender for the BCS National Championship coming off a '06 season where they barely lost to Ohio State and lost to a great USC team. The expectations were through the roof. Iowa, didnt have the same expectations as Michigan in '06 and most people thought that they still might take a step back given Iowa's previous seasons.
Or, maybe people became more aware of how good top-tier FCS opponents can be after '07. I do agree that it should be talked about a little more and I am sure Iowa fans are pretty upset considering Iowa just paid their head coach a lot of money for the next decade.

Agreed but I think the entire B12 conference is about as wide open as any power 5 conference/division
