Even more worth celebrating, John U Bacon is reporting it's a 5 million per year, 7-year contract.

Is it normal to lose that many of your recruits? From my knowledge, Michigan is the type of school that would pride itself on actually graduating most of its athletes. I suppose two coaching switches in a 4-year span will do this to your recruits, however. I didn't realize Emilien and LaLota transferred -- they were pretty big recuits for us if remember correctly. The fact that we've only held onto about 40% of our recruits since 2007 is really, really bad regardless of the circumstances IMO.

Novak really stepped up big for this game. So did Stu. Novak walked out with a double-double. They were playing some of the least selfish basketball I've seen them do all season. This team is incredible when they're hitting their shots.
Great job getting charges called too. Smart play.

Eat your heart out, Spartans.

MSU might've lucked out with their draw, but I honestly wouldn't expect them to get far in the tournament anyhow.

Honestly, if we can get past Tennessee (which I would expect -- they are prone to turnovers etc), I would rather face Duke than SDSU. SDSU is incredibly athletic. We beat a Duke team two years ago that was better than this one, and I would argue that this year's team is better than the one with Manny et al two years ago. We've stuck with top teams all year and we're totally capable of beating a #1 seed. If anything, a #8 seeding should give them confidence that the committee thought of them so highly.

Yup, bad bad refs. In this day, refs clearly still do not know how to make calls for a player like Sullinger. "Well, he's 6'10 and wide as a train -- I guess I'll call a foul on every single person who touches him." It's absurd. The ref'ing was OKAY throughout, but they made the worst calls at very critical times in the game. This fact takes away any legitimacy to the rest of the game. Bad bad bad.

It's seriously uncanny how close some of your predictions are. Once again, only 2 points off. Nice :D
