If you want to check out the lake and the new practice facility, there is a beach called Lighthouse Beach, just north of campus. Beautiful place to walk around, and you can check out the new facility right on the water. The beach located directly next to the facility I believe is restricted to only NW students, but you could probably make your way down there anyway.
Otherwise, food around the stadium is a bit scarce, besides for Mustard's Last Stand and 10 Mile House (both very decent options). About a mile south in downtown Evanston there is a bar called Bat 17 that is fantastic. They modeled their menu after Zingermans, and though not as good they do a great job. Plenty of beer there too.
I live in Evanston. Game day traffic is almost non-existent, unless you are on Central St. near the stadium. It was mentioned in the comments already, but yes, the hotel scene here is not the best. You could stay somewhere in the city, and grab a CTA L train or a Metra up to Evanston (45 minute L, 20 minute Metra), and those stop right near Ryan Field. Or, grab a Lyft/Uber from downtown. It shouldn't cost more than $25 each way.
I live in Evanston, but I have been to The Diag (Lakeview) a few times for games. Fun atmosphere and they have a courtyard with TV's to watch if the weather is nice. Otherwise I know the Chicago Alumni Association announce in emails what bars they are having watch parties at for football/basketball.

Apple TV.
I have an Apple TV and Youtube TV. Both are great.
Used to have Hulu Live and that was absolute shit. Extremely laggy and buggy. Have had no issues with Youtube TV so far.
Cheese and beer my friends. Cheese and beer.

Diag Bar and Grill. Mostly becasue they probably won't show the game at any Evanston bars...
I'm not sure how I will be able to read this without punching through a wall.
Insane the distances he used to run just for a workout. Great cause and crazy to think he runs more than a marathon for 100 days straght.
Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals. Doesn't happen often, but when it does...
I'm guessing we should expect JT Compher to be named the next captain...
The tourney is at Joe Louis this year...could easily walk away with a B1G trophy and a bid.
