I have been a long time MGOBLOG lerker, and have never felt the need to comment on any of the topics. However, I felt that this OP warranted a response. I believe that if Hoke is retained, Michigan football will lose a large part of the fan base which includes non alumni. I did not go to U of M; however, I have had season tickets for 10 years. In addition, I am part of a large group of guys who travels to at least one Michigan away game every year. We do this as a guys weekend. Our common bond is Michigan football. None of us were students at U of M, we just love the football team. However, this group has been declining over the past couple of years due to the lack of success of the team. I will be a part of that group who refuses to spend another dime on Michigan football if Hoke is retained. I love this team, but I will not continue to support an athletic department that appears to be of the mind set that their s%*t does not stink. If the atheletic department does not fix this football team, then I am afraid the Michigan fan base who did not attend the University of Michigan will decrease drastically in a short period of time.
