Especially if you miss on offensive lineman. Hell, Michigan didn't get hit by sanctions and we are still digging out from the disastrous O-line recruiting from the final years under RR. Only one lineman (Jack Miller) panned out from the 2010-11 classes. 

I can't see him taking the USC job if he has a shot at LSU or Texas. Those programs have loyal fanbases that fill their stadiums, unlike USC and the crappy Coliseum.

Bring in $ for what? The AD is not supposed to be about making a larger profit. We just need enough money to run the athletic department. I remember Bill Martin saying that the suites and club seats would make us enough money to be competitive with any school around the country. And that was before all the TV money came pouring in.

I think they did that in every sport at that time.
